Lake Orion Baptist School began ministering to families in September 2002 and currently helps educate children in grades Pre-K-12. The leadership and families of the First Baptist Church of Lake Orion started the school because God burdened their hearts with the need for a fundamentally sound, Bible-believing, God-honoring Baptist school in this community.

Children experience conventional classroom environments with dedicated, well-trained teachers. Small class sizes help create a proper learning atmosphere and give teachers excellent opportunities to reinforce and support students individually. Textbooks written from a biblical perspective give children a Christ-centered worldview as well as an exposure to a college-preparatory curriculum centered on God's Word.

Since its inception Lake Orion Baptist School has offered homeschool students the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities complete standardized tests and take classes as ancillary students Over the years several families have taken advantage of these opportunities and the school has been privileged to serve students in this way We think the Homeschool Hybrid program will be an additional opportunity for us to help families who desire to provide Christian education for their children

In Summary

The Lake Orion Baptist School Homeschool Hybrid Program is unique in that students will meet Monday through Friday, 8:15–noon, and study the core classes of Reading, Math, Phonics, and Bible. Parents will have the afternoons to homeschool remaining subjects as they see fit. LOBS does not partner with any public district for funding, so the curriculum is chosen for its quality and biblical fidelity, presented from a Christian worldview by caring, Christ-loving teachers, and hybrid students will not have to report to a public school district. They will have the opportunity to add music class and/or PE in the afternoon, and 6th graders may participate in school sports. The program is intended to serve families of like faith and practice and is unique in the area. Please contact the school office for more information!
